Born on Nantucket, returned from deployments, Hollis Webb is fiercely proud of being a Nantucket native. After high school he traveled throughout Central America. At the end of 2008, he enlisted in the US Army with a Special Forces contract. After two years of the most demanding training the military has to offer, Hollis Webb earned a Green Beret.
Webb deployed three times, twice to Afghanistan and once to Columbia. He was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury from a blast concussion inflicted during his last rotation to Afghanistan in 2014. Webb received two Bronze stars for valor in combat.
Webb is committed to supporting veteran brothers and sisters in transition, as they recover and embark on re-assembling their lives as civilians. He is determined to sustain his Nantucket Island heritage by teaching and empowering the island’s youth to accept and share that responsibility.
